i made this yesterday. it was really rich and pretty salty. mike loved it though. so i'll have to try again with some alterations. also, i used about 10 oz of tortellini and it was probably more the right amount of sauce, if not too much.

i'm doing homework. i promise. canned soup can be kind of salty. maybe next time you could try the "low sodium" cans that they sell?

do you think it could be the ham too? or should i use unsalted butter maybe? or is there not enough butter for that to matter?

it could be the ham. what kind did you use? i was picturing sandwich ham, but yeah, some ham is really salty. you could try the butter thing. or use margarine. i'm not sure how big of a difference that would make. the italian dressing is probably the biggest part of the problem, but you need that for flavor, so that's why i was thinking of trying to take it out of other places.

yeah, i just used sandwich ham. and i did use margarine. i COULD just use my own italian seasoning. i bet i could find a recipe for it online... and leave out the salt or something...

this is gotten to be too much work. i'll probably never make it again. haha!
