RECENT RECIPE ADDITIONS:

Apple Goody

From a newspaper!

6-8 green apples (1 or 2 quarts canned & drained)
1 cup sugar
1 ½ Tbsp. Flour
¼ tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Cinnamon
Mix above ingredients and spread on bottom of 9 x 13 cake pan

¾ cup oatmeal
¾ cup flour
¾ cup brown sugar
¼ tsp. Soda
¼ tsp. Baking powder
½ cup melted margarine
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Mix last ingredients & crumble and spread on top of apple mixture.

Bake 350° for 40 minutes or until brown & crisp

Is this the same one we grew up with?
"From a newspaper" sounds random... but I trust you, just don't lie to me...

Yes, it's our traditional one. You're on a cooking streak...

Yes, it came from the newspaper, but calls for fresh apples and if you use fresh, it needs to back a little longer or else cut the apples really thin... like use 6-8 granny apples
