Apple Pie

from Better Homes and Gardens pie and cake book

6 - 7 tart apples (6 - 7 cups)

after cutting apples, soak in salt water to keep from browning.

mix and add apples:

3/4 to 1 cup sugar

2 T flour

1/2 to 1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp each of nutmeg and salt

dot with butter (2 Tbs)

put in pie crust

bake 400 degrees 55-60 minutes

(try 375 25 min with foil, 25 min without foil)
