3 LARGE PIZZAS:
PIZZA DOUGH:
8 cups flour
2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. instant dry yeast
3 cups warm water
¼ cup oil
Mix dry ingredients in bowl including yeast*, add liquid and stir by hand or use dough hook while adding. Add more warm water as needed if dough is too stiff. Knead for 10 minutes by hand or 4-5 minutes in bread machine.
Let it rest for at least 10 minutes and then it is ready to use…. If you aren’t ready for it right away it is alright for it to raise and then just divide it and roll it when ready.
*If yeast is NON-instant, then stir it as you pour it into the warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until bubbly before adding the oil… then proceed as described above. Let rise 30 to 60 min. before using.
PIZZA SAUCE:
3 Cans tomato sauce (8 oz)
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Garlic powder (or granulated)
1 tsp. Onion powder
1 tsp. Crushed leaf basil (½ tsp. If ground basil)
1 tsp. Crushed leaf oregano ( ½ tsp. If ground)
1 tsp. Pepper (less if you don’t want a real spicy sauce)
½ tsp. Sugar
I make a mix of the above spices ahead of time and use about 2 Tbsp of it: previously mixed pizza spices.
Mix all ingredients in bowl or saucepan – heat and simmer for an hour in microwave or stovetop, but DO NOT BOIL- it will become VERY spicy if you do.
Basic Toppings:
cheese
olives
mushrooms
ham
pineapple
More Topping Ideas:
bell peppers
red onion
We use an Old Stone pizza stone to bake our pizzas. Put the stone in the oven before heating and heat your oven to the highest degree it will go. Baking time for each pizza can range anywhere from 4 - 9 minutes.

For Primary Activities, I made 1 batch of dough and split into 8 balls (about 8 oz each). This was the perfect size for a personal pan pizza.
